Is this available on IOS?
Sorry, not at this time. IOS is in development for a future release.
Do I need WiFi or Cellular Data?
Yes. You need a internet connection through a WiFi network or using a cellular sim data card. For real time updates, the app needs to communicate with the cloud servers using an internet connection.
What Android versions are supported?
At this time the app will work on Android 6-13.
Do Recoil grenades work with the app?
Yes, the recoil grenades work in Factions Laser Tag. They will do damage to anyone in range, to the tune of 100 health points.
Do the original Recoil WiFi hubs work with this app?
No. The app requires an internet connection through Wifi or cellular data for gaming.
How does Friendly Fire Work?
If friendly fire is off you can’t do damage to teammates in team based game play. If it’s turned on you can accidently damage or eliminate a teammate in the fog of war.
How many players can play in a game?
48 max players. If playing team games, they do not need to be balanced. You do need a minimum of 2 players in the lobby to start a game as the host.
Is this a one time charge?
Yes. $29.99 is a one time charge for unlimited use and data. It can be installed on up to 6 devices using the friends and family google plan.
If I reset my Call Sign are my stats erased?
Yes. If you choose to reset your call sign all career, and last game stats, as well as your call sign are erased from the phone and the cloud database.
How many virtual weapons can I pick up and carry ?
You can pick up 2 additional weapons and carry them virtually. Allowing you to cycle to a new weapon set with the push of a button on the app. You can also drop a weapon at anytime and pick up another like video games.
Do I need to exit and turn off my gun after each game?
To keep the app size small, lite and responsive it was easiest to have an exit from the app at the end of the game. It requires each player to turn off their gun as well. You can be back at your profile screen in a couple seconds relaunching the app.
What is medic revive?
If you turn on medic revive and set the revive timer for a game, you will have that long as a medic to get to a teammate and revive them with the medic QR code or they will need to respawn. It allows for battlefield “heals” by a medic.
